TargetPlex Focused Lung Cancer Panel and FFPE-Direct DNA Library Kit for Ion Torrent NGS – COMBO – YST0111 was designed with input from the European Cytopathology Consortium, this multiplex amplicon panel targets actionable mutation is Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) focused panel for next-generation sequencing (NGS) sequencing directly from formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) samples using 5 – 15 um thick tissue sections on a glass slide, cytology smears, or 10ng of genomic DNA (Normal tissue).  Leverages the use of the proprietary FFPE-Direct Library Preparation workflow and the TargetPlex Noise-Canceling Technology (NCT), this rapid, addition-only, 3.5-hour workflow is ideal for the analysis of ~ 3100 actionable NSCLC mutations covering eight oncogenes (EGFR, KRAS, BRAF, NRAS, PIK3CA, PDGFRA, KIT, and ALK) without the need for separate, labor-intensive, and time-consuming, pre-analytical FFPE DNA extraction, purification, and isolation steps. The NSCLC two-pool design is comprised of only 26 primer pairs per primer pool for allowing for ultra-sensitive mutation detection down to 1% AF. The proprietary primer modification and unique primer-pair tiling design of the NSCLC panel enable high detection sensitivity and high-target specificity.
